Reese's might potentially find themselves in a bit of a pickle with their recently launched sweepstakes promotion valued at $25,000. Edgar Dworsky, who manages the Consumer World website, happened to spot something rather questionable about this giveaway.

On the exterior of the packaging, there's a bold proclamation “You could win $25,000 - see details inside."

However, tucked away within the wrapper lies the small print, discreetly mentioning that making a purchase is not a prerequisite for winning. The catch here is that a customer wouldn't be privy to this fine print unless they decided to make a candy purchase and subsequently opened the wrapper.

The Hershey Co., the proud owner of the Reese's brand, has stated its commitment to ensuring compliant with all regulations" and that full contest details can be found on its website.

Tucked away within the wrapper, there's the fine print – it's worth noting that it's there to emphasize that making a purchase is not a prerequisite for winning. However, the slight twist here is that a customer would find it quite challenging to peruse that fine print unless they decided to indulge in a candy purchase and take the time to unwrap it.
