A considerable number of individuals harbor strong aversion towards artificial intelligence, and this sentiment extends even to the late comedian/actor Robin Williams' own daughter.
In a social media post addressing the ongoing actors' strike, Zelda, the daughter of the renowned entertainer, expressed her disapproval of the utilization of AI technology to recreate her father's likeness.
In a candid Instagram post made on a Sunday, she didn't hold back. In no uncertain terms, Zelda took issue with the deployment of AI to construct or reconstruct actors' images, particularly highlighting her father's case.
Her exact words were, “I am not an impartial voice in SAG’s fight against AI. I’ve witnessed for YEARS how many people want to train these models to create/re-create actors who cannot consent, like Dad,” she wrote on Instagram on Sunday.
“This isn’t theoretical, it is very very real. I’ve already heard AI used to get his ‘voice’ to say whatever people want and while I find it personally disturbing, the ramifications go far beyond my own feelings,” she added.
