The baseball glove worn by Sandy Koufax during the Dodgers' inaugural season in Los Angeles in 1958 is up for auction. The Memorabilia Network is overseeing the auction of this Rawlings glove, which bears Koufax's autograph and the number 32, his jersey number, in black marker. Only seven game-worn Koufax gloves are known to exist.
On April 18th, 1958, when the Dodgers played their first game in Los Angeles after moving from Brooklyn, Koufax wore this glove. It is worth noting that the game took place at L.A. Memorial Coliseum since Dodgers Stadium was not yet open, adding to the historical significance of the glove.
Bidding for this remarkable piece of baseball history will continue until June 14th, as stated by the Memorabilia Network.
