Camarillo animal shelter is offering a $17,000 reward for information leading to the person that abducted a dog from the shelter, that subsequently died.
- Someone broke into the shelter Thursday morning, activated the alarm, and removed Pretty Girl from her kennel, according to surveillance footage from the facility.
- Pretty Girl, weighing 45 pounds is seen putting up a fight, but was eventually dragged out of the shelter.
- Pretty Girl was discovered in critical condition next to Highway 101 in the Newbury Park region.
- A $12,000 prize has been made public by Paw Works in an effort to find and apprehend the intruder. The shelter's incentive now stands at $17,000 after PETA announced on Monday that it is increasing it by $5,000.
