- That’s the word from Russian President Vladimir Putin, who says motorists and gas companies from “unfriendly countries” will have to open a Russian bank account and withdraw their money in rubles before purchasing fuel from his country.
- Defying Putin’s new mandate, leaders in France, Germany and the U.K. on Thursday announced they have no intention of using Russian currency to buy gas.
