While green screen technology has saved school photographers thousands of dollars on backdrops, it turns out the method doesn't work so well on St. Patrick's Day.
- Case-in-point: Dozens of elementary students who showed up for school in Greenwood, Indiana wearing green on March 17th found parts of their bodies missing in the photos because the color of their clothing meshed with the green backdrop, a rep for Sugar Grove Elementary School says.
- Despite the freaky appearance of the children in the proofs, the school has sent a message home to tell parents, "The proofs are the only pictures that will look that way. The actual pictures, if you order them, will look normal." Still, at least one parent isn't interested. Amanda Snow says she'd rather keep the proofs, saying, "Honestly, they’ve brought me so much joy and laughter."
