If You Have Food Allergies, There's a SoCal Restaurant That You Can Dine At

About 32 million families in America suffer from some form of food allergy, making it increasingly difficult to dine out at restaurants. Sidney Price, of Long Beach, CA, decided to take matters into her own hands when she realized that her 14-yea-old child was having a hard time ordering out. Price and her husband opened up the Noble Bird Rotisserie in Long Beach located on 2nd & PCH. The restaurant has been open since December of 2019 and caters to those with life-threatening allergies.

The restaurant, which specializes in rotisserie chicken, offers a variety of menu items including vegan wine, salads, sides, sandwiches, and local beer.

"Our building is free of dairy, peanuts, tree nuts, fish, shellfish and mustard, which many other restaurants cannot say that," Price said.

Upon dining, guest are welcomed with staff members who are all thoroughly educated in allergy training, something not required in the state of California.

Chef Andrew Bice, formerly of Border Grill, Ivory on Sunset, and Blue Plate Oysterette developed the menu, which includes goodies such as sweet and sour eggplant, blueberry black rice, and rotisserie potatoes.

You can visit the restaurant Sunday through Thursday from 11 a.m. until 10 p.m., and Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.
