There are two types of people in this world: Those who put up Christmas decorations days before Christmas and those who put them up days after Halloween. On November 1st, Claudia and Nick Simonis eagerly put out their lovely Christmas decorations, being the first in their neighborhood to do so. However, their Christmas spirit was put on hold after receiving a strange letter three days later from their their homeowners association. Diamond Association Management & Consulting told the Simonis family that they needed to remove all of their Christmas decorations until closer to the actual holiday.
Claudia and Nick Simonis didn't know there was a neighborhood rule on Christmas lights. The couple felt that it was unclear when exactly they were allowed to put their decorations back up. Nick Simonis told CNN, "We're in the Christmas spirit just like anybody else...We love the holidays, and my wife is very active in it." Claudia Simonis is expecting their third child and wanted to get the Christmas decorating done so that the family could just relax in case the baby came early. Neighbors have shown their support by putting up their own Christmas decorations. The Christmas spirit in San Antonio, Texas lives on!
