German Shepherds are one of the top three dog breeds left on the streets and taken to shelters.
Shelters through out Los Angeles do the best they can, but sometimes their resources are limited and they can't save as many dogs as they hope.
That's why Westside German Shepherd Rescue of Los Angeles decided to open their door. Their goal was to save as many dogs as they can throughout the state.
Westside is a non-profit 501(c), no kill rescue completely dedicated to saving all types of German Shepherd dogs from high kill shelters and placing them in their forever homes.
Because of their max-capacity always being full in their Los Angeles location, Westside also fosters dogs in homes throughout Southern California.
Having dogs fostered allows Westside to find more dogs their forever home.
German Shepherds are a special breed and truly can form a bond with their owners.
