Don't you hate it when someone at the buffet table takes all of your favorite food? That feeling of anger and hatred led to a fight and subsequent arrest for two people at the Meteor Buffet in Huntsville, Alabama.
It was reported on Wednesday, February 27, that diners had waited in line for 10 minutes for crab legs to come out and when they finally did, they grew impatient. Reports say that hungry and angry diners used tongs as swords. On top of this medieval brawl at the buffet table, plates shattered and witnesses saw a woman beating a man. How many of us have thought about going berserk when the garlic mashed potatoes run out and we're stuck with asparagus or something? Well I'm not sure any of us have actually acted on these instincts.
Luckily, there was a police officer, Gerald Johnson, trying to enjoy a quiet evening at the restaurant when the insanity began. He was able to stop the customers from killing each other over buffet crab legs.
Two brawlers were arrested for their outbursts. Chequita Jenkins was arrested on for assaulting John Chapman and Chapman was arrested for disorderly conduct. Chapman also suffered a cut on his head.
