Suspects Pistol-Whip Worker During South LA Taco Truck Holdup

July 14th at 3:10 a.m. Tacos El Gallazo taco truck was held up at gunpoint by three men.

  • The taco truck is located at the corner of Manchester and Normandy in the 1300 block of West Manchester Avenue (According to LAPD)
  • The three men wearing hoodies forced their way into the truck demanding cash and cellphones. They were unsuccessful at opening the safe.
  • One of the suspects pistol-whipped one of the two employees. He needed stitches.


  • The taco truck has surveillance cameras and all three suspects looked directly into the camera.
  • The video shows one of the suspects then pistol-whipping a worker in the head before the men fled on foot.
  • The two victims were back at work yesterday.

  • Other taco trucks in the area have been robbed as well and they have installed cameras and other safety precautions.
