What was promised to be a "luxury" multi-weekend music festival on a private island in the Bahamas turned out to be an unorganized, half built, chaotic mess. The Fyre Festival, a heavily hyped event, was thrown by rapper Ja Rule and promoted on twitter by models in bikinis such as Bella Hadid, turned out to be what attendees are calling a "scam." Tickets varied between $1,000-$12,000 — and some VIP packages were as high as $250,00. Concertgoers said the festival looked more like hurricane disaster site.
