President Joe Biden faced criticism after releasing a 14-second video challenging Donald Trump to a debate, with multiple jump cuts prompting ridicule from Trump supporters and conservative commentators.
The video, posted on social media, shows Biden taunting Trump with the words “make my day,” leading to an array of mockery regarding the numerous edits required to produce the short clip.
Despite the backlash, Biden's campaign maintains that the cuts are a standard editing practice and highlights Trump's eagerness to debate.
The two debates, scheduled for June 27 on CNN and September 10 on ABC News, promise to be significant political events ahead of the November election.
