The Justice Department is opposing Donald Trump's plea to postpone his trial until 2026.

The DOJ responded on Tuesday to Trump attorneys' accusations that it would take years to thoroughly study more than 11.5 million pages of information.

The Department of Justice described it as "a distraction from the issue at hand, which is determining what is required to prepare for a trial."

During a hearing next week, a US District Judge is likely to set a tentative trial date.
