Police are investigating a string of school shooting hoaxes reported in California and Texas.
At least 10 such calls were made in California and Texas over a two day period... And each one saw the caller report an 'active shooter' with multiple victims.
Law enforcement was forced to investigate each claim, which only served to frighten students and faculty who then saw a SWAT team arrive at the school.
The California schools involved in the hoaxes included:
Madera High School, Hollywood High, Lancaster High, Bullard High, Mater Dei High, Santa Rosa High and Bishop Diego High.
No suspects have been identified, but investigators say the Texas calls were all made from the same number.
