The Los Angeles City Council voted on Wednesday to, once again, extend the city's emergency eviction moratorium.
This means that landlords still cannot evict renters who've stopped paying their rent.
The council vote was 11-1. Council member John Lee was the only opposing vote...
"This eviction moratorium has got to end," Lee said.
And landlords are not happy...
"You can't walk into your neighborhood grocery store and say 'because food is a necessity, I'm going to walk out without paying,'" Cheryl Turner, board president of the Apartment Association of Greater Los Angeles representing landlords said. "But we are being criticized for asserting our rights to collect our rent."
