Trump supporter sucker punched at Laguna Beach rally

Laguna Beach police arrested 20-year-old Richard Losey this week and charged him with battery and terroristic threats, after he sucker punched a Trump supporter at a Laguna Beach rally last Sunday.

Video shows Losey punching victim R.C. Maxwell, who says the attack was unprovoked. Maxwell spoke to FOX 11's Bill Melugin:

If the optics were completely different and I was a black lives matter supporter and I was attacked on the Trump side of a protest I would be in the spotlight on CNN right now. I went over to the left side to see if I could engage them with dialogue and I was instantly encircled by the so called anti fascists."

Days after the assault, Losey identified himself on Twitter as the man who attacked Maxwell. He said he did it because Maxwell would not stop talking about Trump and said, "arrest me, lmfao."

Losey was arrested on suspicion of misdemeanor battery with a hate-crime enhancement. R.C. Maxwell joined us this afternoon to talk about what happened. You can listen to his interview below:
