President Trump dug in his heels today and defended his initial statement on Charlottesville, calling out the "alt-left" for their role in the chaos. He put the blame equally on "both sides" for the deadly violence.
Trump was supposed to talk about infrastructure but the reporters jumped all over him, and he didn't back down at all.
“What about the alt left that came charging at, as you say, at the alt right? Do they have any guilt? What about the fact that they came charging with clubs in their hands swinging clubs?
You had a group on the other side that came charging in without a permit and they were very, very violent.
I think there is blame on both sides. You look at both sides. I think there is blame on both sides. I have no doubt about it.”
