CHP officers are looking for the driver of an Infiniti that was caught on video causing a horrible crash that left the driver of a BMW pinned under a big rig on the 10 freeway in Colton.
The crash happened around 3 p.m. Wednesday on the westbound 10 between the Riverside and Pepper avenues exits.
Dashcam video shows the Infiniti cutting off and sideswiping the BMW, causing it to crash into another sedan and veer into the big rig.
Traffic stopped after the crash, but the Infiniti driver sped off and left the scene.
Jose Rios captured what happened on his dashcam. Immediately after the crash, he ran to help the driver of the BMW:
“She was pretty worked up, she was screaming and crying. Once she got out the car, she immediately ran to the truck driver and hugged him. She was holding on to the truck driver. I ran and I asked her, ‘Is anybody else in the car? Is anybody else in the car?’ There’s smoke everywhere.”
Thankfully, the woman suffered minor injuries including cuts and bruises.
CHP says they found the Infiniti after the crash, but they're still trying to find the driver and they think they know who the culprit is.
