Starbucks has denied rumors that the chain is planning to give discounted drinks to illegal aliens. A fake coupon claiming to promote "Starbucks Dreamer Day" reads:
"All undocumented Americans will receive any item on the Starbucks menu 40% off."
On Twitter, the company shot down the rumors about the #BorderFreeCoffee promotion:
"We're sorry but you've been misinformed. Starbucks is not sponsoring any such event."
The fake promotion appears to have come from a post on 4chan's Politically Incorrect message board, which became big during the 2016 Presidential election for spreading Trump memes.
It wouldn't be very surprising if Starbucks were to have promotion for illegal aliens. In January the company vowed to hire 10,000 refugees after Trump announced his executive travel order. And last year Starbucks CEO and current board chairman, Howard Schultz, endorsed Hillary Clinton for President.
