Activist Erricka Bridgeford promoted the weekend as a "Nobody kill anybody" and a "Baltimore ceasefire" weekend that started on Friday and ended last night.
Friday was a success with no shootings reported, but on Saturday two men ages 24 and 37 were killed just hours apart in separate instances.
Another 22-year-old man took a gunshot to the arm, according to FOX 45 Baltimore.
People participating in the ceasefire weekend gathered at the scene of one of the shootings to let residents know that their efforts were not over:
"If you are going to run around here acting defeated, A. Part of me wants to give you this nub to your eye, and then, to hug you, and B. You are not ready for this revolution. It's fine. But please sit down & quiet yourself. Stop panicking out loud. Find a corner & watch us keep GETTING THIS WORK."
Baltimore has been plagued by gun violence for years. By the end of July the city saw a record number of 204 murders.
