One of the many problems caused by Los Angeles' larger homeless problem is the huge number of illegally parked RVs on the city's streets.
The problem is especially bad in the Valley, where many homeless people park their RVs on the side of the road and live there like they own the place. Many residents are getting fed up with this blight taking over their neighborhoods. One person even illegally spray painted a curb red to keep the RVs out:
L.A. Councilman Mitch Englander said he would be announcing a new initiative to address the homeless problem soon. Mayor Eric Garcetti and the rest of the city council just throw money at the problem and enable the homeless to keep doing what they're doing.
We shouldn't have to put up with RVs blocking the streets, and we shouldn't have to wade through piles of trash and puddles of urine and feces. Enough!
