TSA employees are among those who aren't getting paid during the partial government shutdown. And reportedly, many of them have decided if they're not getting paid, they're not showing up.
CNN reports that 'hundreds' of TSA workers from at least four major airports are calling in sick this week rather than work without pay.
That could mean longer lines and maybe even security risks due to understaffing.
Union leaders say the call-offs aren't organized, but fear they might get worse once the paychecks stop, which will happen in the next two weeks if the shutdown continues. No official statements have been released from LA County airports addressing the matter.
