Calendar for the week of January 20th

Martin Luther King Jr. Day Celebration

Celebrate the life work of Martin Luther King Jr. this Monday.

This is an all-day celebration of the Martin Luther King Jr.s' work and the impact he's had on civil rights across the United States and many would argue, across the world.  Happening at the California African American Museum, your family and friends can participate in a very comprehensive event that not only covers his most well-known work and speeches, but also the lesser known ones as well.  This won't be a wall-to-wall lecture series of MLK, but more of a celebration which includes:  Art exhibits, food, you can make and decorate your own megaphone to take home, make your own poster for change and so much more.  The website is detailed with times the events are happening so make sure to check that out and plan your day accordingly.  We'll see you there.
