U.S. Names North Korea As State Sponsor Of Terrorism

The U.S. is labeling North Korea as a state sponsor of terrorism.  President Trump made the announcement at the start of a Cabinet meeting at the White House today.  Trump said the move puts more pressure on North Korea to end its nuclear program.

He said the designation should have happened a long time ago.  Trump also announced that new U.S. sanctions against the North are pending.  North Korea joins Iran, Sudan and Syria on the U.S. list of state sponsors of terrorism.
