Fox is developing a new Starsky & Hutch with a female influence that will be set in the 1970s. According to Deadline, Fox is using its script-to-series methodology to develop the concept into an hour-long drama. This modern reimagining will center on two female detectives, Sasha Starsky and Nicole Hutchinson, unlike the original series, which starred two male police detectives, The Hollywood Reporter notes.
Although there hasn't been any official casting yet, Fox Entertainment President Michael Thorn stated that he anticipates reviewing two scripts from authors and showrunners before making a choice.
