LAGUNA BEACH (CNS) - Power was restored this afternoon to more than 4,000 Southern California Edison customers affected by an equipment failure, with the rest expected to be back on the grid later tonight.
The outage was reported at 8:30 a.m. and affected 4,192 customers as well as traffic lights in the city, according to SCE spokeswoman Taelor Bakewell.
Power was restored to more than 4,000 customers by late afternoon, Bakewell said.
The nature of the equipment failure was not available, she said.
Meanwhile, nearly 550 Garden Grove Edison customers lost power due to a broken wire at 9:17 a.m. and could have their power restored late Saturday, Bakewell said.
