LOS ANGELES (CNS) - A sinkhole opened in the Pacific Palisades burn area Wednesday, which was later confirmed to be a water main break.

The hole was reported around 1:30 a.m. Wednesday, at the intersection of Sunset Boulevard and Las Casas Avenue, according to reports.

Video showed overflowing water flooding the intersection as the county Department of Water and Power crews attempted to control the flow.

It was unclear what had led to the water main break.
