LOS ANGELES (CNS) - An arsonist drove up to a food truck in downtown Los Angeles, set it on fire and drove away from the scene early Monday.

The fire was reported by the owner of the truck around 2:15 a.m. Monday at the intersection of Fourth and Hill streets, close to Grand Central Market, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

Surveillance footage showed the suspect stepping out a van and lighting a fire beneath the truck.

A similar incident from last year led to one person being taken into custody, KTLA5 reported.

The owner of the truck estimated damages to amount to at least $4,000.
