LOS ANGELES (CNS) - The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County dropped a half-cent Wednesday to $4.607, a day after rising two-tenths of a cent.
The average price is nine-tenths of a cent less than one week ago, 4.6 cents more than one month ago, but $1.308 less than one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It has dropped $1.887 since rising to a record $6.494 on Oct. 5, 2022.
The Orange County average price dropped a eight-tenths of a cent to $4.533, a day after rising six-tenths of a cent. It is 1.2 cents more than one week ago, 4.4 cents more than one month ago, but $1.308 less than one year ago. The Orange County average price has dropped $1.93 since rising to a record $6.459 on Oct. 5, 2022.
The national average price rose 1.2 cents to $3.215, a day after dropping a half-cent. It ended a streak of 31 decreases in the past 32 days.
It is 3.8 cents less than one week ago, 19.9 cents less than one month ago and 66.6 cents less than one year ago. The national average price has dropped $1.801 since rising to a record $5.016 on June 14, 2022.
