Police Recover Cache of Firearms, Drugs at Long Beach Home

LONG BEACH (CNS) - Police confiscated a cache of firearms, ammunition and drugs at a home in Long Beach, authorities said Tuesday.

Officers responded to the 500 block of Elm Avenue at about 4:20 p.m. Monday regarding a person with a gun, according to the Long Beach Police Department. Through a follow-up investigation with the department's High Crime Focus Team and a search warrant, they allegedly recovered five firearms, narcotics and ammunition.

"The suspect, who was determined to be a prohibited possessor, was arrested," according to a police statement.

No further information was immediately available.
