LOS ANGELES (CNS) - A homeless woman was shot to death early Monday in the Westlake area of Los Angeles, and an investigation was underway.
The shooting was reported at 2:25 a.m. at Ingraham Street and Lucas Avenue, according to a dispatcher at the Los Angeles Police Department's Operations Center.
The woman, believed between 30 and 40 years old, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police, who said the woman was homeless. Information on her identity was not immediately available.
No suspect information was released. Anyone with information on the case was urged to call 877-LAPD-247.
