LOS ANGELES (CNS) - A man wanted in a robbery investigation was killed Thursday in a shooting involving Los Angeles Police Department officers in the Reseda area.
Officers and a SWAT team went to the 7900 block of Reseda Boulevard about 4:45 a.m. Thursday to serve a warrant in a robbery investigation, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
About 5 a.m., the wanted man jumped from a third-floor balcony, allegedly armed with a rifle, and was shot by police, the LAPD reported.
The wounded man, in his late 30s, was taken to a hospital, where he died, police said. Information on his identity was not immediately available. No one else was injured.
According to Fox11, the man was wanted in connection with armed robberies of armored vehicles.
