PLAYA DEL REY (CNS) - A man in his 20s was found Wednesday by searchers looking for a missing swimmer in the ocean near Playa del Rey.
The body was found around 7:30 a.m., the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner reported. Information on his identity was not immediately available.
According to Fox11, three friends went for a night swim late Tuesday and only two came out of the water. They told authorities they hadn't seen their friend since going in.
Rescue personnel from the Los Angeles County Fire Department and the Los Angeles Fire Department responded to the 8100 block of Vista Del Mar shortly after 1 a.m.
Lifeguard rescue boats also joined the search, and the U.S. Coast Guard was notified.
