LOS ANGELES (CNS) - Oscar nominee Colman Domingo has a leading three individual acting nominations heading into Saturday evening's presentation of the 55th NAACP Image Awards, including a nod for entertainer of the year.
Domingo, who was nominated but lost a lead-actor Oscar for his work in "Rustin," will compete in the entertainer of the year category with Fantasia Barrino, Halle Bailey, Keke Palmer and Usher.
The Image Awards celebrate outstanding achievements and performances of people of color in categories including film, television, music, literature and podcasts.

"The Color Purple" led all film nominees with 16. Many of the awards were already distributed in separate events held over the past week.
The rest of the winners will be announced during Saturday night's two- hour ceremony at the Shrine Auditorium, hosted by Queen Latifah.
