LOS ANGELES (CNS) - Los Angeles Police Department detectives sought additional possible victims Friday of a 64-year-old photographer and acting coach suspected of sexually assaulting clients during photo shoots at his studio.
Kenneth Howard Dolin was arrested Monday and booked on suspicion of penetration with a foreign object. He was later released from custody pending further investigation, police said.
According to the LAPD, a 29-year-old woman reported to police Jan. 10 that she was sexually assaulted by Dolin at his residence/photo studio in the Wilshire area. Detectives determined that two other women in their 20s had accused Dolin of sexual misconduct in 2017.
"He has significant connections in the entertainment industry and has been know to solicit victims on modeling websites," according to an LAPD statement.
Detective Brent Hopkins, a supervisor with the LAPD Special Assault Section, said the victims felt trapped and believed they had to comply with Dolin's advances.
"There's a huge difference between art photography and sexual assault. We want to make sure we know everything that happened and make sure that line does not get crossed again," Hopkins said in a statement.
Detectives released a photo of Dolin in hopes of identifying and interviewing additional alleged victims.
Anyone with information regarding the alleged assaults was urged to contact Special Assault Section Officer Richard Podkowski at 213-473-0447. Calls during non-business hours or weekends should be made to 877-527-3247. Tipsters who prefer to remain anonymous can call Crime Stoppers at 800-222-8477 or visit lacrimestoppers.org.
