PASADENA (CNS) - An Altadena man was in custody Friday for allegedly throwing rocks through the windows of numerous homes in Pasadena.
Kirk James Alexander, 37, was arrested Monday on suspicion of vandalism and was being held on $950,000 bail, according to the Pasadena Police Department.
About 6:25 a.m. Monday, officers responded to four separate calls that residential windows were broken by rocks, and the investigation led to Alexander's arrest, police said.
"Alexander's recent arrest follows a similar incident in December 2023, where he was apprehended for the same offense of throwing rocks through multiple residential windows," police said. "The total damages caused by Alexander over the series of vandalisms is estimated at well over $20,000. The vandalisms appear random, and the detectives do not believe Alexander is specifically targeting the various victims."
According to police, the Los Angeles County District Attorney's office filed the following charges against Alexander on Wednesday: 19 felony counts of vandalism, and four misdemeanor counts of vandalism.
Alexander allegedly drove a gold 2000 Lexus GS300 while committing acts of vandalism, police said. Authorities urged anyone with security images of the suspect and/or vehicle to contact Detective Anderson at 626-744-4663 or via email at brananderson@cityofpasadena.net.
