Police Investigate Fatal Stabbing in Long Beach

LONG BEACH (CNS) - A 35-year-old man was fatally stabbed early Thursday in Long Beach.

According to the Long Beach Police Department, officers responded to the 1300 block of Long Beach Boulevard shortly after 4:35 a.m. Thursday regarding a man needing medical assistance.

The victim was found suffering from multiple stab wounds to the upper body. Long Beach Fire Department paramedics pronounced the man dead at the scene.

Police said the suspect fled the scene before officers arrived. Investigators believe the victim was "possibly involved in a dispute or altercation" with the suspect or suspects, police said.
