LAKE BALBOA (CNS) - The armed suspects in an attempted carjacking in Lake Balboa where a 50-year-old man and a 15-year-old boy were shot are on the loose Friday.
The victims were sitting in a vehicle in the 7800 block of Amestoy Avenue, near Stagg Street, at 8:50 p.m. Thursday when they were approached by two suspects who demanded their wallets and the keys to the vehicle but the victims refused, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
Arriving LAPD officers learned the suspects ran away after fighting with the victims and the victims pursued them in their vehicle, according to Fox 11. The suspects then began shooting at the suspects and were able to escape.
Both victims were taken to a hospital. The man suffered multiple gunshot wounds and the teen suffered a graze wound, Fox 11 reported.
There was no description of the suspects.
