LOS ANGELES (CNS) -  Former Los Angeles Dodger Justin Turner has tentatively settled a lawsuit he filed against the sellers of a Studio City home the MLB player bought in 2017, alleging faulty construction.

Turner sued the Andy Sydney Living Trust and its trustee, Andy Mark Sydney, in Los Angeles Superior Court, alleging breach of contract, breach of implied warranty, negligence, violation of statute and fraud. On Monday, Turner's attorneys filed court papers with Judge Wendy Chang notifying her of a "conditional" settlement in the case with the expectation that a request for dismissal will be filed by Feb. 15.

No terms were divulged.

Turner alleged the defendants failed to disclose water and mold damage in the residence. Defense attorneys denied Turner's allegations.

Turner, now 39, was born in Long Beach and played baseball at Cal State Fullerton. Turner until recently was a member of the Boston Red Sox, but he opted for free agency on Nov. 3. His suit filed in September 2020 sought at least $600,000 in damages.
