RESEDA (CNS) - A man who allegedly assaulted a woman during a burglary earlier this month in Reseda has been arrested, and police Wednesday urged other possible victims to contact detectives.
The crime occurred on Jan. 2 in the 19100 block of Vanowen Street, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
"The suspect assaulted an elderly female victim then fled the location," an LAPD statement said. "West Valley Area detectives conducted a thorough investigation and were able to identify, locate, and arrest 30-year- old Diamon Smith."
According to police, Smith has been connected to three additional residential burglaries that targeted female victims in single-family homes and apartments.
"Investigators strongly believe there are other victims who have yet to be identified," police said.
Authorities circulated a photo of Smith, and urged other possible victims to contact Detective Joseph Hampton at 818-374-7742, or 818-374-7611. Tipsters may also call 877-LAPD-247, or Crime Stoppers at 800-222-TIPS.
