Man Found Dead in Compton Driveway

COMPTON (CNS) - Los Angeles sheriff's deputies are investigating the death of a man found lying in a Compton driveway, officials said Sunday.

The man, estimated to be about 45 years old, was found at 10:35 p.m. Saturday at the rear of a driveway on the 2200 block of East Alondra Boulevard, according to the Sheriff's Information Bureau.

He was suffering from a laceration to one of his thighs and was pronounced dead at the scene, investigators said.

Witnesses told deputies they heard a woman screaming for help and when they later looked out their rear window, they saw the man in the driveway.

No other details were available.
