SEAL BEACH (CNS) - High surf that has saturated parking lots and neighborhood streets in Seal Beach will continue Thursday as public work crews worked to contain the flooding.

Television footage captured by Fox 11 showed a car practically submerged in water at the Seal Beach Municipal Pier Wednesday evening.

The National Weather Service issued a beach hazard for most of Southern California's coastline including Los Angeles, Orange and Ventura county beaches.

The hazard is expected to last throughout Thursday.
