LOS ANGELES (CNS) - Actress Eileen Saki, who played Rosie the bar owner on the TV show "MASH," has died in Los Angeles after a battle with pancreatic cancer, Variety is reporting Wednesday. She was 79.
A representative for Saki confirmed her death to Variety. Saki died on Monday. She appeared on nine episodes of "MASH," the television series about a mobile military hospital in the Korean War. The series ran from 1972 to 1983.
Saki played Rosie, the owner of Rosie's Bar, and was the third actress to play the role. She played the role of Rosie longer than the other two actresses. Saki also appeared in the movies "Splash" and "History of the World Part I," and the TV series "CHiPs."
She was born in Japan and was a lung cancer survivor. She most recently appeared in an Uber Eats commercial in 2022.
Saki is survived by her husband Bob.
