COMPTON (CNS) - Authorities sought the public's help Tuesday to locate a suspect who tried to rob a bank in Compton.
According to the FBI, the male suspect entered the Wells Fargo bank branch at Gateway Towne Center in the 1600 block of South Alameda Street around 10:30 a.m. Monday and displayed a demand note to a teller. It was unclear if the suspect received any money, but he fled in a black SUV, according to the FBI.
The suspect was wearing a Lakers hooded sweatshirt, blue bandana, sunglasses and blue construction gloves.
