SANTA ANA (CNS) - Two men were charged Tuesday in connection with the fatal stabbing of another man in Stanton.
Amro Mahmoud Abdelfattah, 37, of Santa Ana, was charged with murder, along with a sentencing enhancement for the personal use of a deadly weapon. Co- defendant Mustafa Mohamed At Mohamed, 37, of Westminster, was charged with a felony count of voluntary manslaughter.
Orange County sheriff's officials have not yet released the name of the victim, who was in his 40s. The criminal complaint identifies the victim only as Brandon C.
Sheriff's deputies were called about 12:45 a.m. Saturday to the 7000 block of Katella Avenue in Stanton to respond to an assault. When deputies arrived they found the victim and took him to an area hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
Further details of the stabbing were not immediately released.
