FULLERTON (CNS) - A 23-year-old woman is in custody following a short chase with Fullerton police, according to media reports.

The woman was speeding and using her cellphone Saturday while driving near State College Boulevard and Chapman Avenue, ABC7 reported.

She continued driving when officers tried to pull her over, which led to the short chase.

Officers used a PIT maneuver to bring the vehicle to a stop under the 91 Freeway on Magnolia Avenue, and then lobbed pepper balls through the rear window to get the woman out of the vehicle, the report said.

She was taken into custody without incident.
