SANTA ANA (CNS) - A 32-year-old man is scheduled to be arraigned on a murder charge Friday for allegedly gunning down a man in an unincorporated area near Anaheim in 2019.

Ricardo Martin Campos, who was extradited from Texas and booked into Orange County Jail on Tuesday, made his initial court appearance Thursday.

He did not enter a plea at his arraignment Thursday in the Central Justice Center in Santa Ana, and his arraignment was rescheduled for Friday.

Campos is charged with murder in the killing of 28-year-old Eli Gamaliel Victoriano-Che, according to Orange County sheriff's Sgt. Todd Hylton.

The victim was found suffering from a gunshot wound about 9:30 p.m. May 14, 2019, in a motor home in the 8400 block of Augusta Drive, Hylton said.

The victim was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead, Hylton said.

Campos has a lengthy criminal history. He pleaded guilty to buying or receiving stolen property and car theft in February 2017 and pleaded guilty again in January 2018 to buying or receiving stolen property and resisting arrest. He pleaded guilty in April 2019 to possession of a controlled substance.
