AZUSA (CNS) - One person was killed Monday in a shooting and crash in Azusa.
The violence was reported at about 10:20 a.m. in the 17700 block of East Newburgh Street, according to an Azusa Police Department desk officer.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department also responded and was investigating the death alongside Azusa police. Neither agency immediately released details of what occurred, but video from the scene showed two cars and a truck with extensive damage.
A witness, Reyna Sanchez, told KTLA5 that a vehicle was being driven at high speed down the street when her father's parked truck ended up sandwiched between two cars.
Sanchez said one of the vehicles had a bullet hole on the driver's side window and she saw paramedics trying to revive a young man inside. It was unknown when and where the shots were fired, or how the resulting crash occurred.
