A man from Chino Hills has been arrested for allegedly holding a woman against her will for months, according to authorities.

The woman says she was tortured, assaulted, and raped while inside the man's home. Investigators say they think the woman was captive for about five to six months.

Mara Rodriguez, San Bernardino County Sheriffs spokeswoman, says the woman moved in with the man earlier this year, and within a short period of time was forcibly kept at his house.

Rodriguez says the woman escaped the man's home last week and flagged someone down in a park who called 911.

The man, who has not been identified, was found and arrested in Placentia on Saturday after a short standoff with SWAT officers.

The woman is being treated at hospital. Officials say her injuries are severe.
